We are conducting a survey to understand the importance of awareness in addressing gender-based violence (GBV). Your responses will help us create effective strategies to combat GBV and support those affected. Thank you for your participation.

What is Gender Based Violence?

Gender-based violence (GBV) refers to harmful acts directed at an individual based on their gender. It encompasses a range of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse, including domestic violence, sexual harassment, human trafficking, and harmful traditional practices like female genital mutilation. GBV affects women and girls disproportionately but can impact anyone, regardless of gender. Addressing GBV involves recognizing its root causes, which often lie in societal norms, gender inequality, and power imbalances, and implementing comprehensive measures to prevent and respond to such violence.
