What is Gender Based Violence?

GBV affects women and girls disproportionately but can impact anyone, regardless of gender. Addressing GBV involves recognizing its root causes, which often lie in societal norms, gender inequality, and power imbalances, and implementing comprehensive measures to prevent and respond to such violence.
