Women Empowering Women Workshop
Welcome to the Women Empowering Women Workshop, a monthly gathering designed to uplift, inspire, and unite women from all walks of life. Whether you’re 18 or 80, this is your space to connect, grow, and thrive in a community that believes in the power of women supporting women.

Workshops are held monthly, and you can join us:

Teen Safe Dating Workshops
Our Teen Safe Dating Workshops provide teens with crucial information and tools for building healthy relationships. Sessions are held in October and February, with a special summertime series of in-person workshops that run weekly for four weeks, or virtually through Zoom/Google.

Here’s an expanded look at each workshop topic, including suggested activities:
Understanding Healthy Relationships
Content: Explore qualities like trust, respect, honesty, and equality.
Activities:
• Role-playing Scenarios: Teens act out examples of healthy and unhealthy relationship behaviors.
• Group Brainstorm: List “must-haves” and “deal-breakers” in a healthy relationship.
Recognizing Red Flags
Content: Identifying warning signs of unhealthy or abusive relationships.
Activities:
• Red Flag/Green Flag Game: Present behaviors, and participants decide if they’re healthy (green) or unhealthy (red).
• Story Analysis: Break into groups to analyze fictional relationship stories and discuss red flags.
Effective Communication Skills
Content: Teach active listening, assertiveness, and conflict resolution.
Activities:
• Active Listening Exercise: Pair participants and have one share a story while the other practices active listening.
• Conflict Role-Play: Practice resolving minor disagreements respectfully.
Consent and Boundaries
Content: Educate on the importance of asking for and respecting consent in all situations.
Activities:
• Consent Scenarios: Discuss what consent looks like in various situations, such as dating or social settings.
• Personal Boundaries Map: Teens map out their personal boundaries and share strategies for communicating them.
Dating Safety Tips
Content: Provide tips for staying safe in dating situations, including using technology wisely.
Activities:
• Safety Planning Workshop: Develop personal safety plans for meeting new people or handling uncomfortable situations.
• Tech Safety Audit: Teach teens how to secure social media and dating apps against cyberstalking or harassment.
The Impact of Social Media on Relationships
Content: Discuss how online interactions influence dating dynamics.
Activities:
• Healthy vs. Unhealthy Online Behavior: Analyze social media posts or messages for signs of good or bad communication.
• Digital Boundaries Checklist: Teens create a checklist for what they feel is acceptable online behavior in relationships.
Building Self-Esteem and Resilience
Content: Empower teens to build confidence and cope with challenges.
Activities:
• Affirmation Journaling: Write daily affirmations and discuss how self-love impacts relationships.
• Resilience Role Play: Practice responding to common relationship disappointments, like breakups, in a healthy way.
Peer Pressure and Group Dynamics
Content: Equip teens to handle external pressures in dating.
Activities:
• Pressure Lines Game: Practice saying “no” to hypothetical peer-pressure scenarios.

What to Do in a Crisis
Content: Learn what steps to take if you or a friend is in an abusive relationship.

• Resource Scavenger Hunt: Locate local and online resources for relationship help.
• Survivor Story Sharing: Share age-appropriate survivor stories (real or fictional) and discuss support strategies.
The Role of Empathy in Relationships
Content: Teach the importance of understanding others’ feelings and perspectives.
Activities:
• Perspective Switch Activity: Teens describe a situation from both their and their partner’s perspectives.
• Empathy Circle: Group members share their feelings on various relationship challenges while others listen without judgment.
Safety Consultation
The Paint the City Purple Campaign™ (PTCP) offers professional, confidential, one-on-one advocacy sessions designed to help individuals transition from unsafe situations to secure and empowered futures. Our Comprehensive Advocacy Services Include:

Safety Planning: Customized strategies to ensure your safety and peace of mind.
Self-Care Techniques: Tools to promote emotional and physical well-being during challenging times.

How to Participate in the Paint the City Purple Campaign™

Thank you for your interest in the Paint the City Purple Campaign™ (PTCP), a global initiative committed to ending domestic and gender-based violence. By signing up as a member, you are taking the first step toward creating a safer, more inclusive world. Follow these steps to join and start making a difference today:
Step 1: Sign Up as a Member
1. Visit the PTCP Website:
Navigate to paintthecitypurplecampaign.info to access the membership registration form.
2. Complete the Registration Form:
• Provide your name, contact information, and location.
• Indicate your preferred level of involvement (e.g., volunteer, event organizer, donor, advocate).
• Review and agree to the PTCP Consent Form, which outlines the campaign’s goals, values, and commitment to ethical advocacy.
3. Submit Your Registration:
After completing the form, click “Submit” to officially join the campaign. You will receive a confirmation email with further instructions.
Step 2: Understand the Mission
• Symbolize Solidarity: Incorporate purple lights, decorations, clothing, and more to visually express unity.
• Raise Awareness: Share educational materials about domestic and gender-based violence with your community.
• Foster Change: Partner with local organizations to advocate for survivor support and accountability for perpetrators.
Step 3: Prepare for Action
1. Mark Your Calendar:
The campaign runs from the 4th Monday in October to the 1st Saturday in November. Plan to participate in events and initiatives during this time.
2. Organize or Join Events:
• Collaborate with your community to “paint” buildings, landmarks, and public spaces purple.
• Plan or attend fundraisers to support survivor services and advocacy programs.
3. Engage Year-Round:
Members are encouraged to organize and support fundraising and awareness events throughout the year to sustain momentum.
Step 4: Spread the Word
• Use social media to share campaign updates, survivor stories, and educational resources.
• Encourage friends, family, and community members to join the campaign and participate in local initiatives.
• Tag PTCP in your posts and use official hashtags like #PaintTheCityPurple to amplify the message.

As a PTCP member, you will receive access to:
• Toolkits for planning awareness events.
