DIVA

The Domestic Violence Intervention Academy (DVIA) is an organization approved by the North Carolina Domestic Violence Offender Management Committee and committed to reducing domestic violence through education, accountability, and behavioral change. Our state-approved 26-week Domestic Violence Intervention Program (DVIP) is designed to help participants recognize abusive behaviors, develop healthier relationship skills, and promote respect and nonviolent communication.
We serve both men and women throughout Guilford County, North Carolina, with certified facilitators who adhere to all state requirements for group intervention, documentation, and ethical standards. In addition to our offender intervention program, DVIA offers Teen Relationship Workshops focused on prevention and provides Survivor Support Services through a separate department dedicated to assisting those impacted by domestic violence.
Our mission is rooted in the belief that education and accountability can create lasting change. The 26-week Domestic Violence Intervention Academy provides court-mandated participants with a comprehensive understanding of the patterns and effects of domestic violence while encouraging personal responsibility. Through structured education and guided discussions, participants are equipped with practical tools to build healthier, safer, and more respectful relationships with intimate partners and family members.
